Equine Ministry Changing Lives in North Idaho

God has blessed and stretched our ministry in amazing ways during the last twelve months.

We matured our partnership with the Union Gospel Mission Center for Women and Children in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Prior to 2018 EMBRACE Equine Ministry was an extra-curricular option for the women in program. After seeing the positive results on the women who participated, UGM has made EMBRACE a necessary part of the curriculum in order to advance in their recovery program.

We continue to partner with Daybreak Youth Services of Spokane, Washington, serving the youth residing within their inpatient drug rehabilitation facility. In 2018 the Lord used EMBRACE to share the gospel with more than 100 women and teenage girls between UGM and Daybreak Youth Services.

We also grew in serving individual families as they learned to deepen their relationship with each other and the Lord during seasons of illness and transition.

We were blessed to be welcomed at seven private residences as places to do ministry. Our volunteer staff traveled from Athol to Hauser and Hayden. No distance too far to meet to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those willing to hear.

Perhaps our greatest moment of growth was the provision of a cargo trailer! This trailer has enabled our staff to pack everything we need for a day of ministry no matter where we need to go. This has lightened the load on those who have offered their private arenas for our use, and it has enabled us to be more efficient in sharing the Word of God in more locations. We were able to outfit it for the Kootenai County Fair where we shared the gospel and word about what EMBRACE is doing and has to offer people within our community.

We've grown in our volunteer staff as well as our horses - stay tuned to our website for more pictures and biographies of these wonderful additions to our team! We're continuing to grow and change, but our vision remains the same: we're here to share the love of Jesus through His gift of the horse.

To all of our volunteers, donors, participants, and prayer warriors - we'd like to extend our deepest gratitude! As a young mobile equine ministry we cannot adequately express just how much we appreciate and rely on our community for support. Every little bit counts, so whether you've helped spread the word about EMBRACE, made a financial donation, or volunteered a moment of your time and resources, you have helped spread the gospel. What you've given matters.

As we bring 2018 to a close, EMBRACE is taking a holiday break from December 1st until February 4th, 2019. Due to inclement weather during this time of year in north Idaho, this is the season we find it most difficult to haul our horses from home to where we do ministry. In order to ensure the safety of our horses and volunteer staff, as well as giving us all a chance to rest, we are taking a break from doing sessions during this time.

However, to ensure our horses maintain ministry readiness, and each of our invaluable volunteer staff is equipped to serve you in the New Year, we will continue to meet as a staff for Bible study and cross-training. As our ministry uses horses and crafts in sharing the gospel, we're taking steps to ensure everyone is equipped to serve no matter where the need may arise.

You can follow our training progress and any updates we may post on social media (find us on Facebook and Instagram as EmbraceEquineMinistry) as well as on our website. As always, if you have any questions or would like more information, we'd love to connect with you. Contact our president, Renae Buck, directly at (208) 691-9673, or send us an e-mail at embraceequineminsitries@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you in 2019!

God Bless, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year,

Your EMBRACE Family
